Dragon Soul Roblox How to Get Saiyan Tail: Drops and Locations

To get the Saiyan Tail in Dragon Soul on Roblox, defeat the Great Ape world boss in the Desert Wasteland for a 1% drop chance, or purchase the Great Ape Form gamepass in the game store to obtain it instantly.

Great Ape Boss Location and Spawning

The Great Ape spawns in the Desert Wasteland, situated directly behind the Great Plains on the northwestern side of the map. Players can fly out toward the barren rocky plateau or use Fast Travel NPCs to reach the zone for a small Zeni fee.

The boss naturally spawns on a one-hour timer. When entering an empty arena where the boss is on cooldown, players can approach the Ape Responder NPC near the spawn book and spend 5 Robux to summon the Great Ape immediately.

The table below outlines the two paths available to acquire the Saiyan Tail:

Combat Requirements and Drop Rates

Securing the Saiyan Tail through combat requires meeting a specific contribution threshold. Players must deal at least 100,000 damage during the fight to become eligible for the reward pool when the boss falls.

The Great Ape starts with a base health pool of roughly 2.5 to 3 million HP, though this value scales upward when multiple fighters enter the combat zone. The boss relies primarily on heavy melee stomps, backward leaps to crush players attacking from behind, and a long-range Primal Beam that deals substantial damage to mid-level characters. Equipping high-impact ranged skills like Meteor Rain or Giant Storm helps secure the 100,000 damage requirement quickly before the boss shifts phases.

The official boss loot table contains the following items and drop rates:

• Apejaw: 100%
• Beast Throw: 30%
• Primal Beam: 10%
• Enchantment Fragment: 10%
• Enchantment Removal Stone: 10%
• Saiyan Tail: 1%

Because the base drop rate sits at 1%, farming the tail typically requires dozens of encounters. Owning the +25% Drops Luck pass raises the probability slightly from 1% to 1.25%.

Instant Acquisition via Gamepass

Players who prefer to bypass boss combat can purchase the Great Ape Form pass directly in the store tab. This package costs 9,999 Robux during sales events (normally 14,999 Robux) among available gamepasses.

Purchasing the pass grants the Saiyan Tail and the transformation directly to your inventory without completing the mentor duel quest line. The character must still reach Level 900 or higher to utilize the form.

Saiyan Tail Stats and Progression Uses

The Saiyan Tail occupies its own dedicated waist accessory slot. The item provides direct defensive and offensive stat increases, granting +200 Strength and +200 HP on the Zenkai-tier version. It also features dynamic visuals that change color according to active transformations, turning golden during standard Super Saiyan states, red in Super Saiyan 4, and green while transformed into Legendary Super Saiyan.

Beyond raw stats, obtaining the tail is the mandatory requirement for players aiming to learn how to get great ape through gameplay. Once the tail drops, you must speak with the Vegeta NPC stationed near the Desert Wasteland arena. Vegeta challenges you to a series of 30 duels, with a strict 12-hour cooldown enforced between each victory. After clearing the 30th encounter against him, the transformation unlocks alongside the wider roster of all forms. Preparing your character with the best skills ensures smooth clears through each stage of Vegeta's scaling difficulty.
